To Remember

Can you bring a flower to my grave in this place where ugly sows?
Will you visit my bones in this dry land; in this place where no good goes?

The burden of these memories that are growing in my brain
are like a sun that desiccates the soil, killing life and leaving pain.

Only our love grows here, but it’s poison through and through,
so I’ll put our choices to our heads and they’ll kill both me and you.

All the ugly hate, disgust, and pain, but it’s love that will pull the trigger.
So now this dirt will bury us both, and I will be the digger.
